I feel like most people start a diet or weight loss program feeling awful and if you feel awful going in, it ends up making it harder to stick to.

What do you all think?

It's important to enjoy what you eat, at least for me. My first attempt didn't go so well because I tried to cut out all junk and eat healthy foods that I don't like very much. When I cut out bad foods gradually and found healthier options, that worked better for me.
I suggest getting into cooking, it can be really fun and then when you really start to broaden your horizons with more food.
